1. Who we are

Success Nuggets ("we", "our", "us") is a family allowance and goals tracking application. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service.

2. Information we collect

When you create a household and use the app, we collect:

• Household name and invite code
• Member profile names and roles (parent / child)
• Hashed PINs used to authenticate household members
• Tasks, task completions, and associated nugget amounts
• Transaction history (earnings, spending, deposits)
• Savings goals and progress
• Store items defined by parents
• Push notification subscription tokens (if you opt in)

We do not collect real names beyond what you voluntarily enter, and we do not collect email addresses unless provided during account creation via our auth provider.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and operate the app features (tasks, balances, goals, store)
• To authenticate household members via PIN verification
• To send optional push notifications about task approvals and reminders
• To process credit purchases made via Stripe (payment data handled by Stripe)
• To improve the service based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting (supabase.com/privacy)
• Stripe — payment processing for optional credit purchases (stripe.com/privacy)
• Google AdSense — advertising on public pages. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve personalised ads (policies.google.com/privacy)

5. Cookies & advertising

Public pages on this site may display ads served by Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies to deliver ads relevant to your interests. You can opt out of personalised advertising via google.com/settings/ads. The app itself (behind login) does not use advertising cookies.

6. Data retention

Your household data is retained as long as your account is active. You may contact us to request deletion of your household and all associated data at any time.

7. Children's privacy

Success Nuggets is intended for use by families and is managed by a parent or guardian who sets up the household. Child profiles do not have independent accounts and cannot submit personal information outside the household environment. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

8. Security

All data is stored in Supabase with row-level security policies that restrict access to household members only. PINs are hashed using pgcrypto and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

9. Your rights
